Help for you
What are the most common sexual problems?

Sexual problems may be longstanding or related to more recent events which have caused stress, confusion, or unhappiness.
Some of the common sexual problems I work with are:
-
a breakdown in a sexual relationship
-
loss of sexual desire
-
painful intercourse
-
difficulties with orgasm
-
arousal disorders
-
erectile dysfunction
-
premature or delayed ejaculation
-
sexual identity
I also address difficulties in how couples feel and talk about their sexual concerns, such as incompatible sexual preferences, physical changes after surgery, childbirth, menopause, illness or old age, and a history of sexual trauma

Safe Confidential Working

Why is it so important to seek help?
As you are probably aware, sexual difficulties can be a source of anxiety and can have a negative effect on how you relate to your partner emotionally. If sexual issues are left untreated, they can become an emotive topic, where you might avoid the subject of sex, which can lead to more complex arguments where you or your partner might feel blamed or shamed, which can ultimately undermine any closeness you have had in your relationship

How does psychosexual therapy work?
It starts with an initial consultation. I can see you in Plymouth at my quiet and confidential consulting room or remotely on Zoom. You may decide to come with a partner or on your own.
We will then be able to see how we can resolve your sexual concerns and discuss ongoing sessions to assess the type of appropriate treatment plan for your specific sexual problem and to improve and increase your sexual satisfaction and joy in your intimate sexual relationship.

I work from a comfortable, private consulting room in Central Plymouth, just a couple of minutes walk from the University, or online on Zoom.
